Chickadees revel at the farm bathed in snow

And the deep snow hides the sun…

Sunflowers

One yellow bloom erupts

beneath a birdfeeder.

Seeds planted by a fence never see the sky,

while wild shoots grow tall.

Sunflowers find their own place.
